Description from the seller
This Art Deco flower frog vase is made of pressed molded glass in Rosaline color, a bright salmon pink shade highly characteristic of nineteen thirties glassware production. The set consists of two distinct components, including a large flared vase with a wavy collar forming wide stylized peaks and a matching removable grid that fits inside to hold flower stems in place. The upper edges of the vase are characterized by a refined finish where the inner surface of the petals displays a frosted and opaque satin appearance, creating a subtle misty gradient that contrasts delicately with the glossy transparency of the main body. The base of the main vase features a geometric relief pattern of diamond points, topped by wide vertical flat ribs that flare fluidly toward the upper section. The removable centerpiece mirrors this architectural linear work with a scalloped edge designed to fit the host structure perfectly. The item measures 18 cm in total height, 21 cm in length and 10 cm in depth at the top rim for a total weight of 1750 g. No maker marks, glasswork signatures or stamps are visible on either glass part. The entire piece remains in a very good general condition of preservation, retaining all its original brilliance. There are minor air bubbles trapped inside the glass body from the original firing process which is normal for this type of manufacturing, as well as a small internal chip discretely located on the lower section of the removable flower frog grid, which does not affect structural integrity and remains completely hidden when the element is inserted.
