Gold nuggets from the Guelb Ndour Tiris Zemmour region in Mauritania, weighing 1.441 g.
Description from the seller
Discovery zone
23°33’ North
08°06’ West
These nuggets originate from the desert region of Tiris Zemmour in northern Mauritania, more than a hundred kilometers from an area named Guelb Ndour.
Gold mining in this country used to be reserved for a large industrial company only.
But since 2016 individual mining has been authorized using metal detectors.
I offer them as I found them; I have only cleaned them with soapy water.
The gold from this region is quite pure; overall its purity is typically around 950 to 980 fineness, which corresponds to 22.80 to 23.50 carats.
Although gold mining has become one of Mauritania’s main resources, nuggets are fairly rare because almost all gold is melted into bars that are then sent to Dubai.
All photos are taken in natural daylight.
I photographed these nuggets as sincerely and precisely as possible using daylight.
Please note that differences in screen settings and ambient lighting can lead to variations in color, saturation, and perceived tones.
The nuggets you receive are, of course, the ones shown in the photos.
I offer fast, secure, and discreet shipping in a tamper-evident C5 envelope (162mm x 229mm) by French La Poste registered mail.
