AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
PENTAX 645, tested and working.
Hello from Japan!
We provide high-quality cameras and lenses to the world.
The Pentax 645 (1984) brought the handling of a 35mm SLR to medium format. Shooting 6x4.5cm frames on 120 or 220 film, it offers built-in motorised film advance, a fixed eye-level prism finder and program, aperture-priority and manual exposure modes, all in a body that can be used handheld like a large 35mm camera. It launched the Pentax 645 lens system, whose optics remain highly regarded and are also used on the digital 645D and 645Z. This body comes with a 120 film insert.
Important — please read carefully:
The light meter and AE modes have not been tested. Please consider this before bidding.
Condition: Used — Good
Pre-owned, heavy signs of use, or minor optical flaws
Serial Number
Please check the photo.
Appearance
Scuffs and scratches from normal use. Please check the photos for details.
Optical Condition
Viewfinder: Please check the photos of the eyepiece.
Focusing screen: Clean
Functional
Power, shutter and motorised film advance work.
Shutter speeds measured accurately (1/60 ≈ 1/55, 1/1000 ≈ 1/980).
Measured Performance
We check these cameras on a shutter tester rather than by ear, and we publish what we measured:
- 1/60 — measured 1/55 s (approx. 0.1 stop slow)
- 1/1000 — measured 1/980 s (on the mark)
Negative film has enough latitude to absorb deviations of this size, but the figures are here so you can judge for yourself.
Known Issues
1. The light meter and automatic exposure have not been tested.
Bundled Items
Pentax 645 body with 120 film insert (no lens). Only what you can see in the pictures will be included.
Important Notes for Used Items
As this is a used item, subtle imperfections may exist that are not individually described.
