This series of images features well-known actors and iconic figures in surreal and dreamlike landscapes where the boundaries between reality and fantasy blur. Massive, floating fish drift in the sky, while bees, ants and giant fireflies coexist peacefully with human figures. These creatures seem immense, often taller than the surroundings, as if part of a parallel reality born of dreams.
Each image blends the personalities of these familiar figures with their supernatural surroundings, evoking a sense of wonder and astonishment. Nature is a central element of this world, presented in vivid colors and exaggerated dimensions. After completing the master class, the artist has been self-taught since 2002. Her constant quest for new techniques and means of expression has made it almost imperative now to also interest herself in spatial structures as a sculptor. Because of the impatience and instability of her creative process, she bears the name Wildfang. However, in all her works, Wildfang does not seek the perfect, ideally symmetric work, but finds beauty in the fragmented, in detail and in the enigmatic. Her way of working is to find perfection in imperfection.
