Description from the seller
Monaco 2017 – 2 Euro “Bicentenaire des Carabiniers” – Proof
Offered here is one of the highly sought-after modern 2 Euro commemorative coins from Monaco.
2 Euro 2017 – Bicentenaire des Carabiniers du Prince
The coin was issued to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Prince’s Carabiniers Corps, founded in 1817.
Quality: Proof
Mintage: only 15,000 pieces
With a worldwide mintage of just 15,000 examples, this is an exceptionally limited issue compared with standard European 2 Euro commemorative coins and one of the notable modern Monaco collector coins.
The coin combines the very low mintage typical of Monaco’s prestigious commemorative issues with an important theme from the history of the Principality.
Recent examples of this coin have attracted considerable collector interest on Catawiki.
A highly attractive piece for collectors of Monaco, Euro commemorative coins and scarce modern European issues.
Please refer to the photographs for the exact condition, original packaging, certificate and complete contents of the lot.
