Lamp - Impressive Mid-Century Chandelier in Hollywood Regency / Neoclassical Regency Style - Glass

We are offering at auction a truly spectacular lighting piece with museological quality. It is a large chandelier or ceiling spider from the mid-century period, dated approximately to the 1970s, which perfectly captures the opulence and glamour of Hollywood Regency aesthetic.

This magnificent lamp stands out for its two-level architectural design or "cage", built with a high-quality solid polished brass structure, finished in a rich gold tone. The structure features classical decorative details, highlighting an elegant frieze with a Greek key (meander) pattern on the upper and lower levels, anchoring the Neoclassical Regency look.

The main body consists of a dense cascade of clear and smoked crystal rods, precisely cut to refract light masterfully. The rods alternate in length to create an organic, textured form that completely surrounds the internal light sources. Additionally, each level is generously adorned with abundant rows of cut crystals and hanging crystal drops in pear and prism shapes, which hang from both the brass bands and the bottom of the structure, multiplying the dazzling brilliance.

When lit (as shown in the images), the lamp comes to life. The multiple inner bulbs (not included) reflect and refract through the glass rods and crystals, projecting dazzling rainbow flashes and diffused light patterns across the room. The play of light and shadow it creates is hypnotic, transforming any space into a period ballroom.
