Rare Allied Surgical Field Set (WWII era) – D. Simal Paris, Broad Arrow stamped & Acufirm – 15-piece.
Beautiful and historically very interesting 15-piece collection of vintage surgical and dental instruments, presumably assembled as an Allied field set around the World War II period. This unique set contains high-quality instruments from renowned European makers and bears rare military markings.

An absolute eye-catcher for collectors of medical antiquities (Medicalia) and military history (Militaria).

The set consists of the following highlights:
• Dental extraction forceps (English Pattern): Two heavy dental forceps (models #73 and #101 A). Both forceps bear the official British military 'Broad Arrow' (War Department arrow), indicating they were military property. Also bearing military inventory codes (EF143 and EP343).
• D. Simal (Paris) Instruments: Several heavy instruments from the famous master instrument maker Dieudonné Simal (marked with 'D. Simal' and 'Déposé'). Among them two rare perforated bone files/raspatories and a heavy Roser-König mouth spreader.
• Denhart Mouth Spreaders: Classic model with serrated locking mechanism.
• Richardson & Luer Instruments: Large wound hooks with ergonomic pistol grip for maximum grip and a heavy Luer bone nibbling forceps (Rongeur).
• Acutirm (Germany) Injection Needle Case: Authentic metal case ("Injektionsnadeln aus nichtrostendem V2A Stahl") including a selection of original, reusable cannulas/needles from the quality brand Acufirm (size no. 16).
• Surgical Cannulas & Hammer: Three metal suction tubes and a matching medical hammer with a wooden handle.

Condition:
All instruments are in a beautiful, authentic vintage state with typical aging and wear that add to the historical character. The mechanical parts (such as the forceps and mouth spreaders) operate as they should. The engravings and stamps are very sharp and legible (see close-up photos).
