Description from the seller
The SCH1 / 47 floor lamp was designed in 1911 by the renowned architect and designer Josef Hoffmann as an exclusive commission for the executive office of the Imperial and Royal Court Tile Company, Brüder Schwadron, in Vienna, and has been produced as a reissue by the Viennese lamp manufacturer WOKA since 1975. The fluted shaft draws the eye upwards to the simple bowl-shaped shade of the ceiling lamp, whilst the round base ensures stability. The patina lends the brass a deep, historic appearance. Carefully cleaned and rewired, this piece retains its authentic character and bears witness to the quality of craftsmanship from decades past.

Seller's Story
Re-store, Re-Use, Re-Love <3
Fast Food, Fast Fashion & Fast Furniture are not our world. We cherish furnishings with history – made with a lot of care and from a time when good design and quality were more important than quantities, price and pack size for transport around half the globe.
We sell furnishings that we personally select and carefully restore. One by one. Some retain their original look, others are redesigned or upcycled and given a modern appearance with an emphasis on proportions, colors and details. We do offer some new items. These are produced in a fair environment with recycled or local materials.
For us, the idea of a more sustainable world is the guiding principle – in all we do.
We love to extend furniture lifetimes to contribute to a circular economy in the European furnishing industry. With us, you have all under one roof: Design lovers and sustainability enthusiasts. Win-win ;)!
