France, 1917, framed gilt wood display with the Médaille militaire et Citation 105 ème Régiment d'Infanterie, in excellent condition and original authenticity, without a certificate of authenticity.

Period frame, in carved gilded wood, bearing the Citation as well as the Croix de Guerre 1914-1918.
Citation attributed to Soldier Morel Louis, of the 105th Infantry Regiment, by General Guillaumat, Commander of the 2nd Army, on September 20, 1917, for his action on August 20 and 21, 1917, in the Avocourt Wood sector.

"The General Commanding the 2nd Army, cites to the order of the Army the 105th Infantry Regiment
On the 20th and 21st August 1917, under the orders of Colonel Camors, conquered the portion of Avocourt Wood assigned to him, valiantly taking the nest of machine guns, bringing back 250 prisoners including 3 Officers, 8 machine guns and 4 trench cannons.
He maintained the conquered positions after repelling a violent counter-attack and took further prisoners."
The whole is in very good condition, 2 small minimal nicks on the frame
The citation is in perfect condition, no visible stain, nor tear.
