Description from the seller
Canon 7
The Canon 7, also called Canon model 7, is a 35 mm rangefinder camera manufactured in Japan by Canon, and marketed from 1961 to 1965. It is the successor to the Canon P and the VI series, and is the first Canon camera to carry an Arabic numeral designation. It uses an M39 screw mount (a special bayonet is required to mount the 0.95/50mm lens). It will be followed by the Canon 7s with a CdS cell. The viewfinder, with a magnification of 0.80, allows displaying frames for the following focal lengths: 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 100mm and 135mm.
It’s a beautiful Canon 7 with its original leather case kept in impeccable condition and fully functional except the speeds 1-2 which are a bit slow.
The body is in very good cosmetic condition.
You have a body with no plastic, only solid metal. The camera is therefore not light but fits nicely in the hand, very well balanced and paired with a so-called fast lens (50 f1.2 and the famous 0.95), it’s a delight for adjustments.
Camera well cared for and kept safe among my collection.
