Sonically, the AX-892 combines enormous dynamic reserves and authority in the bass with an open, analytical, and transparent sound profile. With a stable continuous power of 115 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms, this amplifier effortlessly drives demanding and low-impedance speakers. For purists, the amplifier offers both CD Direct Amp and Pure Direct circuitry, which shortens the signal path to the maximum and fully bypasses all tone and balance circuits. In addition, the amplifier features Yamaha's continuously adjustable analog Loudness control, a high-quality phono preamp suitable for both MM and MC cartridges, and separated Pre-Out/Main-In connections.
