AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Extraordinary vintage velvet fabric printed, designed by the renowned architect and designer Gaetano Pesce in the 1970s. The pattern, named "Vibration", represents one of the clearest and most effective examples of kinetic art and Op Art applied to textiles within the panorama of Italian Radical Design.

The design wittily plays with the compression and dilation of a grid of dark brown rectangles and squares on a beige background. The gathering of lines toward the center creates a striking three-dimensional visual effect, giving the illusion of a dynamic wave or of a true vibratory movement on the surface of the fabric.

The fabric shows some shading in the velvet and some hair loss near the selvedge (carefully observe the images).
There is the signed talking selvedge.
The piece measures 150 cm x 250 cm.

Unlike the multicolored variants, the strictly geometric and bi-color version of Vibration is particularly sought after by collectors and contemporary interior designers for its extreme elegance and ease of integration into living spaces, both modern and vintage. It is exceptional whether used as a framed tapestry/wall panel or for the realization of cushions or upholstery for designer seating.

Colors may vary depending on the different digital devices used.
