Picture frame - Metal - 19th century

19th-Century Antique Photo Frame – Ornate Openwork Metal & Green Velvet
Description:
Elegant 19th-century antique photograph frame, combining an elaborate openwork metal decoration with a dark green velvet-covered structure.
The front is surrounded by a finely worked metal border featuring intricate foliate and scrolling motifs, creating an attractive lace-like effect. The richly ornamented metalwork contrasts beautifully with the deep green velvet background.
The frame currently contains an old architectural image depicting a monumental European church or cathedral. The reverse retains its traditional easel-back support, allowing the frame to be displayed standing on a table, desk or cabinet.
A charming decorative object with the refined historic character typical of 19th-century personal and domestic accessories.
