Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Elegant pair of antique bronze single-candle candlesticks from Italy, dated to circa 1880–1920, in Baroque style with two mirrored putti supporting a floral shaft, measuring 22 cm high with a 13.5 × 12.5 cm base and weighing 2,555 g, in good used condition with minor age-related marks and stains.
Description from the seller
Elegant pair of antique single-candle candleholders in heavy metal casting (probably bronze or brass alloy), dating from the late 19th to the early 20th century (about 1880–1920). The pieces perfectly fit the taste of Eclectic / Neoclassical Style, characterized by the mirrored figures of two finely molded putti supporting a floral shaft with a decorated candle cup. The structure rests on a solid naturalistic base with large tripartite leaves. The period craftsmanship is evidenced by the original assembly with a single-slot iron screw under the base and by the excellent quality of the casting, confirmed by the substantial total weight of no less than 2555 grams. The objects, with a height of 22 cm, are in excellent conservational condition, with a splendid original dark patina and natural signs of aging that enhance the reliefs.
