Canon 514XL-S CanoSound – Super 8 Sound filmcamera – C-8 9–45mm f/1.4 Macro – Werkend – 1976 Movie camera

Vintage Canon 514XL-S CanoSound Super 8 film camera, produced in Japan and introduced in 1976.
This high-quality Super 8 camera features the bright Canon Zoom Lens C-8 9–45 mm f/1.4 Macro, with 5x zoom, macro function, and integrated rubber sunshade.
The camera is equipped with a reflex viewfinder, automatic TTL exposure, electric zoom, and recording speeds of 18 and 24 frames per second, plus single-frame shooting when using quiet Super 8 film.

The CanoSound version was designed for both silent and Super 8 sound film and includes, among other things, microphone/AUX connections, adjustable audio level, and tone control.
The camera has been tested with 6× AA batteries and is in working order.
Motor/drive and the available electric functions respond during the test.
No film has been developed; the final recording, exposure, and sound quality have therefore not been checked on film.

The camera is cosmetically in nice used vintage condition, with normal signs of use and aging. The upholstery looks neat, and the battery holder in the grip also appears fairly clean in the photos.

Includes: Canon C-8 9–45 mm f/1.4 Macro zoom lens, integrated rubber sunshade, flip-out battery grip and strap, as shown.
Before shipping the camera will be carefully cleaned, including accessible glass and lens elements.

An attractive example of Canon's classic Super 8 series, with a particularly bright f/1.4 zoom lens and extensive CanoSound features.
