Vintage Fujica Single-8 Z600 film camera with Fujinon 8–48mm f/1.8 6× zoom, tested and working, dating from 1968.
Description from the seller
Vintage Fujica Single-8 Z600 film camera, produced by Fuji Photo Film Co. in Japan and introduced in 1968.
The camera is equipped with a fast Fujinon Z 8–48 mm f/1.8 with 6× zoom. The zoom can be operated both electronically and manually. In addition, the Z600 features a through-the-lens (TTL) automatic exposure control, manual exposure compensation, a variable shutter, a reflex viewfinder, and a built-in film rewinding capability. This allowed, among other things, fade and double-exposure effects.
Frame rates are 18 and 24 frames per second, plus single-frame shooting. The camera uses the Fujifilm Single-8 cassette system and is therefore not intended for standard Super 8 cassettes.
The camera has been tested with batteries and is in working order. The motor/drive and the electrical features respond during testing. No film has been developed with this camera; therefore, the final image and exposure quality has not been tested on film.
The unit is in good used vintage condition with normal signs of wear and aging. Localized light discoloration, scratches, and signs of use are visible on the white and metal parts. The camera appears complete and well-kept in the photos.
Included: the fixed original grip, wrist strap, and the large metal hood as pictured. The camera is powered by 4× AA batteries in the grip; batteries are not included.
Before shipping, the camera will be carefully cleaned, including accessible glass and lens elements.
A particularly special and technically interesting model for collectors of Fujica/Fujifilm, analog cine cameras, and the Single-8 system.
