Description from the seller
Sony GV-8E Video Walkman – Video8 – extensive accessories – 1988
Offered is a Sony GV-8E Video Walkman, an exceptional portable Video8 video recorder with an integrated color LCD from 1988. The device belongs to Sony's early mobile video systems and is today of particular interest to collectors of classic Sony and Video8 equipment.
The device can be turned on and the LCD display lights up. The basic control elements react, as far as can be determined during inspection. However, due to the lack of additional hardware or a complete Video8 testing environment, not all recording, playback, tuner, and input/output functions could be conclusively tested. Therefore, no complete functional guarantee is given.
visually the GV-8E is overall in a nice, age-appropriate condition. The telescopic antenna is present. At two points on the housing, there are some breaks. The broken original parts are present and will, of course, be included. The damage is shown in detail in the photos.
A special highlight is the extensive accessory package. Included are, among other things, the original Video Walkman protective case, Sony AC-V30 power/charging adapter, battery and battery accessories, RFU-89E/RFU-89EKA RF adapter, various original or compatible audio/video, antenna and connection cables as well as other accessories shown. Also included are the original Sony GV-8E user manual from 1988 and further original manuals for the accessories.
Inclusions: Sony GV-8E Video Walkman, protective case, power/charging adapter, battery/power supply accessories, RF adapters, various connection and interconnection cables, several original manuals as well as the broken housing part.
Year of manufacture: 1988
Video system: Video8 / PAL
Display: integrated color LCD
Model: GV-8E
Manufacture: Made in Japan
An interesting and now rare piece of Sony Video Walkman history with an exceptionally extensive accessory package.
Note: Please refer to the condition, scope of delivery, and the damaged housing area in the numerous photos. The photos are part of the description.
