Organoleptic sheet
Visual examination: Deep, dense, and bright ruby red color with subtle garnet reflections at the rim of the glass. Olfactory examination: Rich, intense, and complex aroma. Pronounced notes of ripe cherry, plum, and wild berry jam, accompanied by elegant hints of vanilla, cocoa and sweet spices. Gustatory examination: On the palate it is enveloping, warm and velvety. It shows soft, well-integrated tannins, supported by a pleasant freshness and by a long, persistent finish with fruity echoes.
Recommended glasses:
It is recommended to serve in wide balloon glasses or medium-to-full-bodied red wine glasses, at a serving temperature of about 18 °C.
Food pairings: Extremely versatile at table, it pairs perfectly with rich first courses such as baked lasagna and tagliatelle with meat ragù, grilled or roasted red meats, pork and veal roasts, as well as aged and semi-aged cheeses.
Wine cellar and producer trivia:
Born in 1964, Campofiorin is an iconic wine of the Masi winery that created a new category of Verona wines. It was the pioneer of the double fermentation technique with slightly dried grapes, reinterpreting the traditional ripasso in a modern key. The Boscaini family, a historic guiding force of Masi for more than six generations, enhances the viticultural heritage of Valpolicella through innovation and research, bringing this wine to world recognition with the historic motto "Nectar Angelorum Hominibus" (Nectar of the Angels for Men).
