Antique duck-shaped ceramic tureen dating from the late 19th century.
Signed G.B*; the initials refer to Giovanni Battista Antonibon, founder in 1727 of the Novese manufactory, whose legacy and original 18th-century prints were passed to the Barettoni family starting from 1907.
The typical white glaze with a burnt-terra finish visible on the rough edge of the base faithfully reflects the traditional materials of the Novese earthenware or kaolin used for these pieces.
Generous dimensions: length 33 cm, width 17 cm, height 19 cm.

Firmata G.B* la sigla fa riferimento a Giovanni Battista Antonibon, fondatore nel 1727 della manifattura novese, la cui eredità e i cui stampi settecenteschi originali sono passati alla famiglia Barettoni a partire dal 1907. 
Tipico smalto bianco con finitura a terra bruciata visibile sul bordo grezzo della base riflettono fedelmente i materiali tradizionali della terraglia o del caolino novese impiegati per questi manufatti.
