Description from the seller

Fascinating and original patinated bronze sculpture depicting a violinist musician in a fragmented and surreal stylistic treatment. The piece stands out for its avant-garde sculptural approach: the figure's body is intentionally incomplete, anatomical and clothing elements — torso, jacket, arms, legs — seeming to float and become disarticulated in space, revealing only the fragments essential to the narrative.

The character is depicted in motion, holding his violin case in one hand, dressed in an elegant 19th-century stage costume — lapelled jacket, bow tie — rendered with remarkable attention to detail despite the fragmentation effect. The expressive face, with a fine mustache and curly hair, evokes the Romantic portrait of a great interpreter from the Classical era.

This sculptural treatment, which plays with emptiness and fullness, visibility and absence, gives the piece a poetic and contemporaneous dimension that is truly remarkable. An exceptional decorative work, as appealing from the front as from the profile or the back.

The sculpture rests on a round black polished marble pedestal.

Material: Patinated bronze in brown-copper tones
Pedestal: Round black marble
Style: Surrealist / Contemporary art / Fragmented figurative
Theme: Musician, violinist, Romantic portrait
Type: Decorative reproduction
Condition: Very good condition
