The photographic series focuses on Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, a place with a strong personal connection for Engström, who first encountered Paris through the airport after moving there from Sweden as a child. For the project he spent three weeks staying in an airport hotel and photographing in and around the terminals, exploring the airport as an architectural, social and psychological space.
Distinctive landscape-format photobook with bright orange cloth-covered boards and baggage-tag-inspired typography. Edited by Greger Ulf Nilson and JH Engström and printed by Steidl in Göttingen.
This copy is in very good condition. The orange cloth boards remain clean and bright, with only very minor signs of handling. The binding is firm and the interior pages are clean and well preserved.
