Description from the seller
First edition of Benny Profane by British photographer Ken Grant, published by RRB Photobooks in 2019 in partnership with James Hyman Gallery.
This is copy 61/500 of the signed and numbered limited edition. The separately issued signed pigment print that originally accompanied copies of this edition is no longer present and is not included. Book only.
The photographs come from Grant’s long-term engagement with the docklands around the River Mersey and particularly Bidston Moss. The work began in 1989 and continued through the 1990s, documenting the people, landscape and marginal spaces of an area Grant had known personally from working there in his youth. The sequence was edited over many years before publication in 2019.
Designed and sequenced by Ania Nalecka-Milach.
ISBN 978-1-9997275-7-4.
The book contains 88 pages and measures approximately 31.6 × 23.5 cm.
This copy presents very well. The pictorial boards show only light signs of handling, with the binding firm and the interior pages clean and well preserved.
