Description from the seller
In auction: a classic, sturdy and fascinating medium format twin-lens reflex camera (TLR): the Zeiss Ikon Ikoflex, produced in Germany by Zeiss Ikon in Stuttgart between the late 1930s and early 1940s.
The lot presents itself in good overall condition, mechanically functional, and is complete with its original brown leather protective case and strap.
Optics: The lenses show no deep scratches or traces of mold; only a normal, widespread and light vintage patina due to age, entirely expected for a piece over a century old, which does not compromise its historical significance.
Mechanical: The lot has been tested and appears mechanically functional. The central mechanical shutter responds regularly to manual controls.
Aesthetics: Good vintage-era condition. The heavy housing retains its original black textured vinyl covering, displaying the classic and normal superficial signs of time. The interior of the folding bellows shows a partial and physiological loss of the protective black paint with the metal underneath partially exposed, an internal aesthetic detail entirely common due to the piece’s age.
Tracked international shipping, fully insured and professionally super-protective packaging to guarantee maximum safety during transport.
