Description from the seller
Chronoradio Type II / Radioschaltuhr, produced by Uhrenfabrik Müller & Co. of Mühlheim an der Donau, Germany, dating to about 1934.
This is a historic device intended for the timed programming of a radio device, belonging to the Chronoradio Radioschaltuhren produced by Uhrenfabrik Müller & Co.
Specialist documentation records the production of Chronoradio Radioschaltuhren by Uhrenfabrik Müller & Co. from 1929 to 1934 and identifies a new version of the Chronoradio Type II in 1934. The system used an hour scale and small pins that could be inserted into the concentric holes of the dial to set the on/off actions.
The unit features a rectangular black case, a brass-colored front dial, a 24-hour scale, and a central dial indicating hours and minutes.
On the back are the winding keys for the movement and adjustment elements. The mechanical movement has been tested: by turning the winding keys, the movement starts and continues to run.
The accuracy of the clock has not been verified by a prolonged test. Nor has the complete functionality of the radio switching/programming system been verified.
The item shows authentic signs of age, including scratches, small abrasions, patina and wear on metal surfaces and the dial. These signs are visible in the photographs.
No additional accessories are included beyond what is visible in the photographs.
An interesting piece for collectors of vintage radios, technical horology, and historical equipment related to the early dissemination of radio
Good vintage condition. Case with scratches, abrasions, and normal signs of use. Dial with patina, oxidation, and signs of age. Mechanical movement started and running after winding. Precision and radio switching system not verified.
