Description from the seller
Elegant and unique antique walking cane with a solid sterling silver handle shaped like Achilles' heel in a modernist (Art Nouveau) style with organic-vegetal inspiration.
It features a carefully carved ebony wood body, rich in details, with bone inlays in diamond shapes and a ring.
This is a precious piece, which has been restored at the junction of the grip and the shaft (see photographs) for its beauty and antiquity, without detracting from this restoration or its value and maintaining the goal that it can continue to be functional.
This antique walking cane dates chronologically to the late 19th and early 20th centuries (approximately 1880–1920) and usually formed part of collectible or etiquette walking canes of the Victorian and Edwardian era.
