A Moche Pre-Columbian ceramic prisoner vessel, about 29 cm high, dating to 400–600 AD and depicting a bound prisoner, in good condition with surface wear, includes an authenticity certificate and a Spanish export license.
Description from the seller
Moche brownware terracotta vessel of a prisoner with his arms tied in the back and her feet tied with a rope that goes from the neck. Moche, Peru, 400-600 AD
Dimensions: 29,00 cm.
Condition: Surface wear. Good overall condition.
Provenance: Provenance: Kemper Collection, Switzerland.Donated to "The Museum of Islamic Art",Jerusalem, during 1970’s. Purchased by Yossef Maiman 1991. Estate of Yossef Maiman. The Kepmer collection was created between 1940’s and 1980’s. Items that were not donated to the "The Museum of Islamic Art" were sold at Christie’s Amsterdam, 11th April, 1995.
Important: Due to summer holiday season, our gallery will be closed in august so this item will be delivered in september.
