A vintage Karl Ens porcelain bird figurine, often identified as a thrush, fieldfare. It is a handcrafted piece from Germany featuring hand-painted details and a distinct "mill" maker's mark on the base.
26cm high and depict birds in lifelike, active poses like singing.
The base markings confirm that this is an authentic Karl Ens Porzellanfabrik figurine from Volkstedt, Germany.
The blue underglaze mark depicts the iconic Karl Ens windmill (Windmühlenmarke), which has been the signature hallmark of the factory since the early 20th century.
Model Number 7574: This specific impressed number identifies the precise mold design for a Thrush / Fieldfare songbird (Wanderfalke or Krammetsvogel in German).
The smaller painted numbers (like the 61) are painter or decorator numbers, used by the factory to identify which artisan hand-painted the piece. Perfect condition for collection, as new.
