Vest Pocket Autographic, functional: tested and working.
Description from the seller
Up for bid is a splendid, iconic, and historically valuable vintage compact folding bellows camera: the Vest Pocket Kodak Autographic, produced in the United States by Eastman Kodak Co. in Rochester, New York, dating from the 1910s to the 1920s.
The lot is presented in generally good condition, perfectly mechanically functional, and is enriched by its precious original bearing-type shutter and, above all, by the presence of its extremely rare original metal stylus for autograph writing on the back.
Optics: The camera mounts the historic single-lens in a circular optical group. The lenses show no deep scratches or traces of internal mold or fungi; only the normal, widespread, and light vintage patina acquired over the decades, quite typical for a piece over a century old of this age.
Mechanical: The lot has been tested and is mechanically functional in manual operation.
Aesthetics: Good general vintage condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The solid and robust rectangular metal body retains its original matte black protective finish with embossed geometric textures, exhibiting the classic signs of time and a magnificent historical patina.
Tracked international shipping, fully insured, and professionally super-protective packing to guarantee maximum safety during transport.
