Sansui - G-8000 Pure Power DC Solid state stereo receiver

Sansui G-8000 – a unique collector's piece

For sale I offer a exceptional Sansui G-8000 stereo receiver, preserved in practically factory-new condition. Visually it looks as if it just came out of the box – without scratches.

This is my private unit, which I had been seeking for many years. The reason for selling is solely that I managed to obtain a Sansui G-9000 in equally beautiful condition.

The receiver has undergone a comprehensive service at Proton Audio. I have an invoice for the work performed and a detailed service document. About 80 components were replaced, including electrolytics, faulty transistors, resistors and double diodes. They used, among others, low-noise OnSemi transistors and Nichicon PW, MUSE ES and FG Fine Gold capacitors. The old adhesive causing corrosion was removed, relays and switches were cleaned, solder joints reflowed and the PCB cleaned, thermal pastes under the transistors replaced and adjustments made to idle currents and 0 VDC.

The receiver also comes with an exceptionally rich set of documentation: user manual, Sansui International Limited Warranty card, the original service schematic and additional Sansui documentation. All complemented by Proton Audio service documentation, the invoice, and the original parts removed during service.

G-8000 in this condition is practically unattainable. This is a unit for a collector who seeks not only a well-preserved device but also complete documentation and verified service.

The receiver looks phenomenal and sounds phenomenal as well. The asking price is high, but it reflects the exceptional nature of this particular unit.

Highly recommended.
