Description from the seller

This is a vessel with a globular body and a slightly ring-shaped base, featuring a cylindrical neck that ends in a flared rim. The ribbon handle originates at the top of the neck and rests on the shoulder of the piece, a classic configuration for carrying liquids. Its most distinctive feature is its finish. It has a speckled surface in shades of ochre, brown, and reddish tones, which appears to be the result of a glazed slip or a firing effect.

Provenance: Acquired at auction house D. R., France, 2004/ Acquired at auction house, France, 2026
