Pair of vintage wooden chairs in beech with dark brown finish, red velvet upholstery, in antique Art Deco style, dating from 1950–1960, 80 cm high, 45.5 cm long, 40 cm deep, made in France, in good condition with patina and age-related wear.
Description from the seller
Pair of vintage wooden chairs with red velvet-like upholstery – Art Deco / modernist style – circa 1930–1950
Elegant pair of antique wooden chairs, characterized by sober, balanced geometric lines typical of the transition between Art Deco and mid-20th-century modernist furniture.
Each chair features a rectangular openwork backrest, accented in its center by a wooden panel with beautiful natural tones.
The frame rests on four slim, slightly tapered legs, giving the set a particularly elegant and light silhouette.
The seats are upholstered in a superb deep red velvet-like fabric, providing a warm contrast to the brown wood.
The upholstery is highlighted by a row of patinated metal upholstery nails, reinforcing the antique and refined character of this pair.
The wood shows a nice patina and some light signs of use consistent with its age. Decorative and functional as a set, ideal in a vintage, Art Deco, classic, or contemporary interior.
