An elegant rectangular serving tray by the French silversmith Christofle, with two raised handles in deep black Chinese lacquer ("laque de Chine") and silver-plated ring details. The tray has a clean, minimalist design with a stepped, moulded rim that contrasts with the matte black lacquer.
The tray belongs to Christofle's lacquered Talisman line, designed in 1986 by Bernard Yot with Studio Christofle and inspired by Art Deco. It is marked "Laque de Chine" and is attributed to this line based on its style and marks.
The underside is fully marked: the Christofle logo, "CHRISTOFLE FRANCE," "LAQUE DE CHINE," and the Christofle square hallmark for silver plate.
It's a timeless piece for serving, bar use, or display, combining French silversmithing with one of Christofle's most distinctive finishes.
