AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

This ovoid-shaped glazed earthenware vase is a decorative piece characteristic of the Art Nouveau style, made around 1900. Its slipware or majolica decoration features a large stylized orchid or lily flower in high relief whose suspended corolla shows a range of cream-white and turquoise hues, topped by soft delicately nuanced pink petals. Broad lanceolate leaves painted in a dark green and black tone follow the curve of the body and rise from the base to structure the botanical composition. The background of the item displays a luminous olive green gradient with a glossy finish. The inside of the neck and body is covered with a beautiful solid turquoise enameled glaze. Under the base, the object features no visible factory mark or printed signature under the glaze, but bears the model reference number 307 as well as a number 1 incised directly into the mass. The dimensions recorded for this ceramic are 25 cm in height, 10 cm in diameter at the neck opening and a maximum total diameter of approximately 14 cm at the widest part of its body. The recorded weight for this single piece is 1 kg. Regarding its condition, the vase is in good original general condition, the enamel retaining all its shine and chromatic freshness, with a natural crazing network typical of antique earthenware from this period, without any major structural cracks or chips to report.
