Elegant antique silver-plated crumb tray featuring an elaborate Rococo / Louis XV Revival design. The tray has a beautifully shaped shell-form body decorated with deeply embossed scrolls, acanthus leaves and shell motifs, finished with an ornate scrolling handle.
The underside bears a maker’s silversmith hallmark attributed to the French metalwork and silver-plating manufacturer Victor Saglier (active in Paris during the late 19th century, typically featuring a "V", a central emblem/vessel, and an "S").
