A beautiful collector's lot of five natural mineral specimens from the historic Maramureș mining district, Romania, featuring the renowned localities of Herja, Cavnic and Baia Sprie.
The lot combines attractive mineral associations and excellent cabinet specimens:
1. Calcite on Siderite – Herja
209 g | approx. 7 × 8 cm
White/translucent calcite crystals on a dark siderite-rich matrix, offering excellent natural contrast.
2. Quartz with Tetrahedrite – Cavnic
1,017 g | approx. 13 × 14 cm
The largest specimen in the lot, with quartz associated with dark metallic tetrahedrite and mineralized matrix.
3. Rhodochrosite with Quartz & Pyrite – Cavnic
212 g | approx. 12 × 4 cm
An attractive combination of rhodochrosite, quartz and pyrite from the classic Cavnic locality.
4. Limonite on Calcite & Pyrite – Herja
215 g | approx. 8 × 6 cm
A strongly textured specimen with brown-golden limonite, calcite and pyrite.
5. Calcite on Quartz – Baia Sprie
