VEB Strehla Keramik Brutalist table lamp, model 1301, manufactured in Germany by Strehla Keramik, in brown stoneware with a textured Fat Lava glaze and turquoise, yellow and chartreuse relief accents, in good working order with dimensions 20 cm wide by 12 cm deep and 26 cm high.
Description from the seller
A striking mid-century brutalist table lamp produced by East German manufacturer VEB Strehla Keramik during the late 1960s to early 1970s.
An exceptional mid-century modern table lamp base featuring a distinctive textured "Fat Lava" glaze with a vibrant, geometric relief pattern. The base displays recessed block motifs coated in glossy turquoise blue, soft yellow, and chartreuse green glazes, contrasted beautifully against a textured matte brown stoneware finish.
The piece features a square, block-like silhouette typical of Brutalist or Mondrian-inspired designs from the era. The bottom is clearly impressed with the authentic VEB Strehla triangular logo mark, model form number 1307, and "GDR" (German Democratic Republic), signifying its production in former East Germany.
Good general condition. The lamp base does not bear any chips. The lampshade has a couple of marks but is in good condition as well.
