Italian alabaster grape cluster, hand-painted in deep violet tones, 20 cm wide, 9 cm high and 7 cm deep, dating from the 1960s and in good used condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
Small and fascinating collectible grape cluster, made of alabaster worked and hand-painted in the deep violet and wine tones of ripe grapes. These clusters belong to the tradition of Italian decorative alabaster craftsmanship, particularly linked to Tuscany. What is interesting in this specimen is mainly the compact size, about 20 cm, less common than the large decorative clusters typically found on the market. The berries are mounted on a real vine stem in natural wood, preserved with its knots and irregularities: a detail that gives the object a particularly realistic and artisanal character. The shades are applied by hand and vary from berry to berry, creating the colors typical of a ripe cluster. A small object of authentic Mediterranean taste, perfect for a collection of Italian stone fruit, for a wine cellar, or for a rustic and Mediterranean interior. Shows signs of age and small losses of color, visible in the photographs and consistent with the age and artisanal nature of the object.
