Description from the seller
Cheerful and ironic, Miniteca is the table lamp designed by Ron Gilad for Flos. A lamp that aims to animate the space with a surreal and playful spirit. Miniteca creates an atmosphere that updates a historical object that was thought long since relegated to the attic among old furniture. An object of strong character, this lamp is also a tribute to the historic bedside lamp, but also the poetic statement of its definitive sunset. The designer Ron Gilad did not want to transform or take inspiration from the shapes of the historic model, but decided to take it as it is, placing it in quotation marks as if it were the quotation of a poem. Without creating a new lamp the designer chose to preserve the form of the bedside lamp under a glass case, complete with a plaque engraved with the name of the style. The feeling, looking at Miniteca, is that of a museum piece that one wants to pay homage to. Miniteca playfully proposes these atmospheres, adapting them to today, presenting itself as a lamp that condenses the past to look to the future, also thanks to the new generation of energy-saving halogens. The offered models are so far represented by three different historical styles: Victorian Grandeur, Renaissance Cupola and Ottoman Tulip.
