Polydor-Electrola - Polyfar 78 rpm gramophone player

Antique Polydor suitcase gramophone ca. 1929 – green – working/original

Beautiful old Polydor suitcase gramophone, probably from around 1929/early 1930s.

The gramophone has the original Polydor mechanism and a POLYDOR MICA soundbox. Suitable for old 78 RPM shellac records. The green case and components are in used, authentic condition with the usual signs of wear and aging that come with an item nearly 100 years old.

Features:

* Polydor / Deutsche Grammophon
* Probably ca. 1929–early 1930s
* Original POLYDOR MICA soundbox
* Mechanical wind-up motor with crank
* Adjustable speed, including 78 rpm
* Automatic shut-off
* Green suitcase version
* Dimensions approx. 40 × 30 cm
* Includes several 78 RPM records

I have not been able to determine the exact model number. Based on the design and components, it is a Polydor suitcase gramophone from this period; possibly from the Gramola series.

Given the age, it shows visible signs of use. The soundbox, among other things, has lacquer loss.
