British India, Calcutta 1/4 Rupee, 1919, George V King Emperor, NGC MS64 certified, minted in Calcutta with the mintmark C, featuring a floral reverse design around the denomination HALF RUPEE INDIA 1919.

BRITISH INDIA. Calcutta. 1/4 Rupee. 1919(C). George V (1910–1936)
- Value: 1/4 Rupee.
- Year: 1919.
- Reign: George V (1910–1936).
- Inscriptions: Obverse: GEORGE V KING EMPEROR. Reverse: HALF RUPEE INDIA 1919, surrounded by a rich floral motif with lotus flowers, roses and thistles.
- Grade: MS64 (NGC).
Colonial silver coin issued during the British rule in India and minted at the Calcutta mint, identified by the letter “C” under the date. The obverse features the crowned bust of King George V wearing the imperial uniform. The reverse, of great artistic beauty, displays a complex vegetal ornamentation around the face value and issuing country. This design is part of the iconic “floral” series started in 1911. The specimen is in excellent condition, with sharp details and original luster, certified by NGC as MS64.
