Description from the seller
Exceptional, unique artwork, entirely hand-carved, depicting a Tyrannosaurus Rex in a dynamic, roaring pose. The sculpture was carved from the solid core of a fossil mammoth tusk from Eastern Siberia, an ancient material dating back about 20,000 years, completely legal and marketable.
The piece shows outstanding technical mastery, executed by subtraction with hours of finishing and manual polishing that confer an extraordinary silky, warm luster, highlighting every anatomical and muscular detail. The work is accompanied by its rare original official certificate of authenticity issued in December 1999 by Dr. Wolfgang Weitschat, curator of the prestigious Geological-Paleontological Institute of the University of Hamburg, complete with photographic evidence printed on the document. A world-class elite piece, perfect for high-level Natural History collections or Wunderkammern.

- Dimensions: 11 x 11 x 3 cm
- Geologic period/era: Quaternary, Pleistocene (ca. 20,000 years ago)

- Weight: 0.141 kg (141 grams)
- Shipping method: Tracked and insured shipment via international express courier, professional bespoke packaging to ensure total integrity of the artwork and the period certificate.
