Description from the seller
Lot of Two Rare Historical Metal Plaques "Danger of Death" with Skull (Spain and Italy, 20th Century)
Object Description
A fascinating and evocative lot comprising two vintage metal plaques dedicated to electrical and industrial safety warnings, featuring the iconic and timeless skull with crossed tibias motif. Unmissable pieces for fans of mid-century modern design, industrial design, advertising signage, or macabre and vintage curiosities.
Lot Details:
Plaque 1 (Spain): Inscription: "NO TOCAR - PELIGRO DE MUERTE"
Manufacturer: Signed at the bottom "METALGRAFICA LOGROÑESA-S.L.".
Features: Stunning embossed relief work with a strong visual impact thanks to the skull and bones in bright yellow on a light background.
Dimensions: 15 x 20 cm.
Condition: New, never mounted, warehouse background. Rough back.
Plaque 2 (Italy): Inscription: "NON TOCCATE I FILI - PERICOLO DI MORTE".
Features: Italian electrical warning sign with old-fashioned typography enclosed in an elegant geometric frame on a zinced/metallic background.
Dimensions: 12 x 14 cm.
Condition: Authentic signs of wear and oxidation on the back that give a unique and authentic industrial patina.
Why collect them?
These signs were not mere ornaments but stern warnings placed in power plants, factories, or high-voltage infrastructures. Today they have become highly sought-after collector items in the world of interior design, adding an industrial, steampunk, or "cabinet of curiosities" touch to lofts, studios, or walls with a bold character.
Shipping and Packaging
Fast, tracked shipping carried out with professional protective packaging to preserve the metal’s integrity during transport.
Seller's Story
I sell exclusively selected collectible items, including memorabilia, vintage collectibles, and unique pieces for passionate collectors.
