Description from the seller
The first image is AI-enhanced to better showcase the design against a neutral background. Please rely only on the following original photos for the item’s true condition.
Beautiful antique French partial dinner service from the renowned manufacturer Saint-Amand et Hamage Nord, executed in the very beloved and elegant model "Régence." This model is characterized by the refined relief work on the rims and the graceful floral decors, executed in high-quality Terre de Fer (iron-hard earthenware).
Given the specific underside stamp, this dinner service dates from the factory’s flowering period (ca. 1896-1952). Terre de Fer earthenware is known for being thinner and stronger than regular earthenware, allowing it to rival porcelain at the time. A classic piece of French table culture with timeless, country elegance.
The lot is packed with great care and professional protective materials to ensure safe shipping. (48-piece):
• 25 x Large flat plates 24 cm
• 12 x Deep plates / soup plates 23 cm
• 6 x Small plates / dessert plates 20 cm
• 1 x Sauce boat
• 1 x Large oval serving dish
• 1 x Small oval serving dish
• 1 x Large round serving dish
• 1 x Small round serving dish
I cannot provide exact measurements as the dinner service is currently in storage (the exact centimeters may vary by a fraction).
The dinnerware pieces have never been used and are in good condition. However, some items show light signs of aging appropriate to the antique’s age.
Note: Due to the total weight (23.2 kg) and the high fragility of this 48-piece set, the lot will be shipped in 2 separate, very sturdy and securely packed parcels. This explains the adjusted shipping costs.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the extreme fragility and high weight (over 23 kg), this dinnerware will only be shipped within Europe (in 2 separate, insured parcels). Non-EU bidders must take extremely high shipping costs and risks into account.
