Offered in an elegant panna-bakelite version, this Allocchio Bacchini 425 represents one of the most fascinating and visionary radios of its era. A object that seems to have come from the future imagined in the postwar period: modern lines, refined technical solutions, and an aesthetic that remains surprisingly contemporary today.

Its most iconic element is the extraordinary steerable speaking scale, orientable and tilt-adjustable, made with double backlit serigraphic glass, finished with an elegant gilded frame. A detail of great charm that makes this model unique in the landscape of Italian radio design.

Completing the ensemble are the refined leather top handle and the grille-like structure, as scenographic as it is delicate. Precisely because of the fragility of this construction, the model was produced in very few units and today very few remain intact.

Informative note:

The case presents some very slight signs of time, almost imperceptible, largely hidden by the speaking scale (see photo). Details absolutely coherent with the age and with the particular constructive fragility of this model: many units have been lost over time, while this radio has remained intact, complete and with all its original parts. Overall, the appliance retains a very pleasant appearance and preserves its original charm.
