AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Description:
Yamaha MT50 cassette multitrack recorder with an integrated 4-channel mixer (2-band EQ, AUX, PAN, per-channel faders) and dbx noise reduction system. A classic piece highly sought after by musicians and lo-fi/cassette enthusiasts, used for home multi-track composition and recording in the 1980s/1990s.
This unit belonged to my grandfather and sat unused for quite a while, which allowed some dust and storage marks to accumulate on the surface (see photos). When tested, it powers on normally — however, I do not have technical electronics/audio knowledge to guarantee 100% internal functionality (cassette mechanism, recording, playback on all tracks) or to identify potential hidden defects, so it is sold in the condition it is in, without in-depth recording/playback tests performed by me.
Condition:
- Powers on normally
- Signs of use/storage on the lid and body (surface scratches, dust)
- Not exhaustively tested at the level of cassette mechanism and recording quality
- Sold as a "functional vintage piece—as is" with no warranty of absence of internal faults
Specifications:
Brand: Yamaha
Model: MT50
Cassette multitrack recorder, 4 tracks
Integrated mixer: 4 channels (HIGH/LOW/AUX/PAN, MIC/LINE faders)
Outputs: Stereo Out, Monitor Out, Sync Out, Aux Send/Return
dbx Noise Reduction system
Made in Japan
Serial number: KZ01683
