Bang & Olufsen Beogram CD 7000, year of manufacture 1987, with physical condition good and functionally tested and working.
Description from the seller
Bang & Olufsen Beogram CD 7000 compact disc player, designed by Jacob Jensen and produced in Denmark (circa 1992–1995). Technically in 100% fully functional condition (fast tracking, smooth motorized tray operation, and trouble-free playback); visually in used condition with clear signs of wear commensurate with age and heavy use.
Within the prestigious Beosystem 7000, the Beogram CD 7000 represents the ultimate digital source component from Bang & Olufsen of this era. The unit shares the same tight, minimalist design language as the other 7000 components, with the CD mechanism fully concealed behind a slim aluminum front panel. The player is built around high-quality Philips studio components: a robust swivel-arm laser mechanism (CDM-4 industrial version) combined with dual 16-bit digital-to-analog converters (TDA1541A Silver Crown / dual DAC architecture) and fourfold oversampling with digital filtering. This configuration is internationally known for its exceptionally smooth, analog-like sound character with a deep sense of space and natural calm in the high end.
In terms of sound, the CD 7000 delivers an exceptionally dynamic, balanced, and detailed sound image with a very low noise floor and minimal phase errors. The loading mechanism is motorized and glides noiselessly outward with a light touch of the front panel or via remote control. In addition to the analog audio output with full Datalink communication support for integration within a Be o setup, the player is equipped with a digital coaxial S/PDIF output for direct connection to an external digital-to-analog converter.
