The Dual CS 505-1 is a legendary (vintage) German, belt-driven semi-automatic turntable that hit the market in 1981. It is the direct successor and an evolution of the original, wildly popular CS 505. In the early 80s, this model in Europe was considered the absolute benchmark for audiophile quality.

Key Features & Specifications;

Drive: Belt drive via a flat belt and a precise 16-pole synchronous motor (Dual SM 100-1).
Chassis: Equipped with a floating chassis. The entire drive and tonearm are elastically decoupled from the housing by springs to minimize vibrations and feedback.
Tonearm: Equipped with the renowned ULM (Ultra Low Mass) tonearm with a four-point gyroscopic bearing. This arm is designed to be extremely light.
Operation: Semi-automatic. As soon as you move the tonearm toward the record, the motor starts. At the end of the record the arm is automatically raised and the motor stops.
Speeds & Pitch: Supports 33 1/3 and 45 RPM and features fine adjustment (pitch control) of approximately ±3% to ±6% via a 'vario-pulley'.
