Gilded bronze five-branch chandelier in Napoléon III Rocaille style, height 51 cm, weight about 3 kg, made in France, circa 1900, in good overall condition with age-related wear.

Bronze 5-candle chandelier / candélabre – Napoléon III Style / Rocaille – 19th century
Magnificent antique bronze five-candle chandelier, featuring a particularly rich and elegant decoration.
The chandelier rests on an imposing base with splayed feet, abundantly worked with volutes, shells, foliage and acanthus leaves.
The central sculpted shaft extends into four curved arms arranged around a central elevated candle-holder.
The overall design is inspired by Louis XV / Rocaille, highly appreciated during the Napoléon III period. The bronze work, the numerous reliefs, and the beautiful patina give this piece a particularly decorative character.
The chandelier has been lightly cleaned while preserving its old patina.
It is in good overall condition, with signs of wear, oxidation and aging normal for its antiquity.
