Description from the seller
Atala Master FIRE Tubone.
The motorcycle presents in indiscrete conditions. It should be noted that despite its age it is perfectly functioning and starts up at the first try. Obviously a small restoration wouldn't hurt it but overall it has been kept in fairly decent condition. Of course the signs of time are very noticeable. The motorcycle is original in every respect and has never been tampered with.
Atala Master was one of the Italian protagonists of the glorious era of the "tuboni", a segment of mopeds that redefined youth mobility from the late 1970s through the 1980s. Produced by the historic Italian company Atala starting in 1984 (and remained in production until 1997), the Master was born to compete directly with period legends such as the Malaguti Fifty, the Garelli Ciclone and the Peripoli Oxford.
The concept of the "Tubone" and the design
The peculiarity of this model lay entirely in its structure. The chassis consisted of a single large central steel tube that not only served as the backbone of the vehicle, but also housed the fuel tank inside it.
The Fire or LF model visible in the photos is equipped with a direct-drive CVT engine produced directly by Rizzato (Atala's parent company).
This vehicle was designed for maximum ease of riding and for fuel consumption pared down to the bone (even 40-45 km per liter).
