Description from the seller

A rare and highly exclusive original Porsche Martini Racing enamel sign, dating from the late 1970s to early 1980s, produced by Porsche in collaboration with Martini as an official sign intended for Porsche dealerships and workshops, during the iconic period in which both brands were associated through the legendary Martini Racing Team.

The Porsche–Martini partnership is one of the most recognisable collaborations in motorsport history. The iconic Martini colours became synonymous with Porsche’s racing programme during the golden era of endurance racing, particularly at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, where Porsche achieved some of its most important victories and established its reputation as one of the greatest manufacturers in endurance racing.

This exceptional period sign measures approximately 50 × 23.5 cm (19.69 × 9.25 inches). It is manufactured from enameled metal/iron and features an impressive amount of three-dimensional relief, with both the MARTINI lettering and the surrounding shapes strongly raised from the surface, giving the sign an outstanding presence and authentic period character.

It retains its original integrated hanging bracket, formed from the same die as the sign itself, is still present. This is an integral part of the original construction.

The sign preserves its original colour scheme, with the characteristic metallic tones remaining vivid. The combination of its substantial construction, pronounced relief and iconic Porsche Martini Racing design makes this an especially desirable piece for collectors.

The sign is rare and exclusive and represents a unique opportunity to acquire an authentic period Porsche Martini Racing display piece. It was personally found by me in a workshop in Hannover, Germany, during the 2000s, adding an interesting provenance to this remarkable piece of Porsche and motorsport history.

A striking collector's item representing the golden era of Porsche endurance racing, Martini Racing and Le Mans, and a superb display piece for any Porsche, motorsport or automotive memorabilia collection.
